The (Assistant) Manager, Product Planning and Strategy is fully responsible for the product management function as the core heart of the business. He/She will drive lifecycle management and product launch activities, in close partnership with sales and in- market teams. In this role, the successful candidate will have responsibility for Audio products categories, monitoring and providing insights and selecting SKU on category trends, and recommending lifecycle activities to improve product performance across sales channels with partnership with distributors within Vietnam.
In this role, you will report directly to BOD, build a team (or be part of team) of product management and planning professionals.
Your Team
What You Will Do
· Suggest new product pricing input and context.
· Provide company insights to product/software/partnership teams regarding market conditions to be considered for product and marketing plans.
· Responsible for products compliance in Vietnam
· Drive product launches as required.
· Provide coaching and leadership to team, Product Planning and Strategy, Company employees on Product Planning and Strategy.
· Plan e- commerce product placement strategy
· Track, facilitate issue resolution/decision and report on the execution and results of the agreed upon category plans.
· Represent the product categories on the Internal sales team and external dealer team.
· Financial accountability- responsible for P&L and contribution margin
· Recommend and drive leadership alignment on NPI launch dates.
· Analyze market data and insights, and identify ways to contribute to product growth across sales channels in the market. Identify category opportunities. Synthesizes and analyzes most critical category/software insights as basis for category reporting.
· Monitor and provide insights on the category trends. Work closely with the Marketing team regarding the annual Budget Planning process.
· Define and lead Lifecycle management actions to optimize revenue and profit throughout the life of a product, including EOL opportunities and product transition. Helps set priorities across categories and feasibility.
· Product strategy and planning for product categories under the audio division
· Be the Local consult and expert for the product categories
Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in market product category experience and project management experience in the Home appliance and related industry.
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications, (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) is a must.
· Proficient in English.
· Solid team management and coaching experience or Potential
· Bachelor’s Degree in related fields.
Nice to have
· Excellent written, verbal communication and organisational skills.
· Proficient in Chinese
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
· Prior experience in consumer electrics industries.
· Talent and aptitude to analyse and solve problems independently.
