Gardenline is looking for a Product development manager responsible for overseeing the design & creation of new products and managing the team involved with the whole process in the Asia Pacific region.
The product manager will be required to take frequent travel to Vietnam & China to manage projects.
The Product development manager will be tasked with managing the flow of information between these various teams.
They are required to manage a variety of different teams, including design, packing, sampling, to ensure timelines and company design goals are met.
Product Development Manager Job Duties:
· Evaluating new product ideas to determine feasibility and potential market demand,
· Manage and track progress of product development against milestones and objectives, adjusting plans as needed,
· Create detailed project plans and timelines for all aspects of product development,
· Develop and manage product development processes from concept to commercialization,
· Identify and assess risks throughout the product development process, developing mitigation strategies as needed,
· Oversee quality control and testing procedures during product development and post- launch,
· Making strategic decisions about design elements, materials, manufacturing methods, and other factors that affect a product’s performance, safety, cost, and aesthetics,
· Participating in meetings with design team and country sales managers to discuss upcoming projects and share information about previous projects,
· Define product requirements and specifications through market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis,
· Work with cross- functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales, and manufacturing to ensure successful product development and launch,
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders during product development,
· Sourcing research, identify and qualify new Suppliers based on company objectives for future development,
· Reviewing designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations,
· Keeping abreast of technological advances in the field to determine their potential impact on product development,
· Establishing timelines for each phase of the product development process, including prototyping and testing,
· Present regular updates on product development progress to upper management,
· Providing leadership, motivation, and guidance to a team of designers and packing engineers,
· Managing relationships with suppliers, including negotiating raw material cost, reviewing samples, and approving finished products,
