Position overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail- oriented Production Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the production process, from planning to inspection, while directly engaging with suppliers and vendor factories. The role entails effective communication and coordination with multiple departments, including sourcing and purchasing, accounts, production, and shipping. The Production Merchandiser will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations and timely delivery of high- quality products to our customers by fostering strong relationships with suppliers and overseeing production activities closely.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Production Planning
Maintain a detailed record of each production request, including specifications, deadlines, and any special requirements
Monitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delays
Oversee yarn purchasing, knitting, dyeing, printing, sampling, production processes, and inspection
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
Develop and implement production plans to meet our sale demands and deadlines
Coordinate with relevant departments to address any issues or delays that may arise during the production process
Monitoring Payment Requests
Ensure that payment requests are submitted accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established payment schedules and protocols
Keep track of payment requests related to production activities, including raw materials procurement, manufacturing services, and logistics
Communicate with account and finance departments to verify the status of payment requests and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly
Production Management
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components
Monitor and track the progress of production programs and take necessary actions to address any issues or delays
Oversee sampling, production processes, and inspection
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including orders, schedules, and inventory
Generate reports on production metrics, performance, and quality for management review
