KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan for equipment and manpower utilization to meet production indices
- Facilitate continuous improvement on process simplification, labor productivity and cost reduction.
- Ensure conformance of organization to safety, processes, and controls
- Carry out investigation on maverick lots in an expeditious manner to minimize the impact of problem through immediate containment and recall any lots shipped out of factory with the help of QA/equipment/process engineering.
- Manage the growth of subordinates, identify and retain key talent
- Ensure positive and effective communication is continually practiced
- Ensure conformance to the quality system requirement (FMEA and Control Plan)
- Coordinate with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, QA and other support function to execute business plan
- Internalize positive work culture and implement TPM to ensure high standard of housekeeping of machine and vicinity.
- Identify training needs of MS and technician to enhance their job competencies.
- Improve production output through process, equipment and system upgrades
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work closely with Engineers to ensure a smooth and successful introduction of new products to manufacturing
- Comply with Vietnam law, Company regulations, EHS, ISO, 5S,v.v...; and monitor, remind, help your colleagues in compliance with Vietnam law, Company regulations, EHS, ISO, 5S,v.v...
- Ensure all workers under his / her supervision have obtained necessary training
- Supervise a group of manufacturing specialists and technicians in daily routines to meet departmental goals.
- Manage inventory control of all the Stock items to meet department budget and in cases where there is over usage,
need to investigate the cause and define preventive action.
- Have strong knowledge in management skills about TPM, SPC, OEE, 5 Why, 4M, 5W2H, 8D, 7 Wastes, Lean manufacturing.
- Be part of the ERT (Emergency Response Team) member
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Continuously seek ways to improve cost and quality to remain competitive in the marketplace.
- Coordinate with engineering, equipment, manufacturing support function to execute business plan
- Handle grievance, complaints, employee concern and disciplinary issue through effective counseling.
- Ensure identified labor, ethics and EHS issues are corrected in a timely manner
- Provide support and assist EHS Department on related EHS programs such as an Environmental, Health and Safety programs/activities
