Production Support Technician (Working Location: Ba Ria, Vung Tau)

NAMCONSON PIPELINE CO. (NCSP) seeks to fill in the position of Production Support Technician for Vietnamese Nationals, working in Ba Ria, Vung Tau. Individuals with the qualified credentials and high degree of motivation are welcomed to apply.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
JOB PURPOSE:
• To provide first line technical support in case of production upset due to instrumentation devices or ICS failure.
• To provide technical support in running, issuing hydrocarbon allocation reports and developing specific guidelines for changes/enhancements of gas/condensate delivery/re-delivery in accordance with NCSP business policies and procedures.
• To provide support in monitoring PSMS, giving advice, guideline for Lead tech and patrol team to manage the pipeline integrity.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Accountabilities:
• Assist production shift team in activities associated with gas/condensate nomination and allocation.
• First line assist production shift team in fault finding in case of production upset due to instrumentation device or Integrated Control System (ICS) failure. Ensure all hazards, faults and problems are identified, solved and recorded. Where problems cannot be solved ensure that the problem is brought to the attention of appropriate authorities.
• Provide assurance to both management and partners that products are allocated in accordance with statutory requirements and in accordance with commercial agreements.
• Ensure timely publishing of accurate allocation reports to Customers and Partners.
• Participate in the Emergency response organization according to the Emergency Response Plan. Play a role of Emergency Response Team member.
• Recommend Production Lead Tech to give proper rate change instructions/guidelines to Shippers and Buyers in accordance with signed commercial agreements.
• Monitor and analyze Pipeline Security Monitoring System (PSMS), make decision and guideline for patrol team to perform site check and verification.
Work Tasks:
• Perform daily activities associated with gas nominations, gas/condensate allocations.
• Pro-active in ensuring a culture of no accident
• Assist in incident investigation as required
• Help to apply appropriate HSE lessons learnt from other installations.
• Monitor gas/condensate import/export to ensure energy of NCS pipeline is controlled as per commercial agreements and production guidelines.
• Assist production shift team in fault finding and operation reinstatement in case of production upset caused by instrumentation device and/or ICS failure
• Follow written instructions from Control Engineer and Instrument Engineer in fixing minor faults on instrumentation and ICS
• Act as the middle point between Allocation team and production shift team regarding allocation activities
• Assist and coordinate with Control System Engineer/ Instrument Technician during maintenance/ testing for ICS/ instrumentation devices
• Pro-actively predict changes in pipeline energy and give appropriate instructions/advices to production shift teams.
• Promptly provide feedbacks to Allocation Engineers for any faults on the EC Allocation system and/or raise concerns on the performance of the EC system for continuous improvement
• Proactive in working with PSMS administrators, give suggestion for improving and tuning the system.
• Monitor and analyze PSMS, make decision and guideline for patrol team to perform site check and verification.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Have basic understanding and experience with some of the followings fields:
• Technical knowledge and skills of instrumentation/automation maintenance and engineering.
• Knowledge of oil and gas processing or used to work in oil and gas industry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Other trainings: Working computer skills (Word / Excel /Outlook / Maximo)
- Educational background: University or college degree with background in Instrumentation or Automation or Electronics
- Experience: Minimum: 2 years working in oil and gas industry
