Professional Development Executive

Primary Responsibilities:
Teacher Development and Support:

Plan and deliver as required:
Update Trainings for newly developed curriculum and policies
ICR Pre- Deployment Training for new teachers
Support and develop teachers by conducting:
Remote observations and video conferences to provide support to our learning centres
Classroom observations and providing support and development opportunities
Support academics and operations in HQ and franchise learning centres
Academically support new operations and projects
Spend time in the centre teaching classes with minimum 3 teaching hours per week .
Develop and maintain training and supportive physical and digital resources to better facilitate the mission of the PD Department

Learning Centre and Parent Communications

Liaise with Senior Teachers to identify and leverage support and development opportunities
Conduct Literacy Road Map Workshops, both live and webinar sessions
Work alongside the Managing Director, Area Managers, Customer Service Officers and Operations Managers to provide customer service support with a primary focus on resolving academic/teacher- related issues
Work alongside the Human Resources Manager to forecast, plan and execute training and development requirements for all new and existing teachers

Additional Responsibilities

Liaise with Singapore Headquarters to obtain feedback
Liaise with teachers and centre staff to obtain feedback
Assist in the administration of the Senior Teacher Programme
Support interdepartmental projects and initiatives, as requested by the PD Manager
Manage or assist with projects assigned by the PD Manager

Requirements and qualities of the Professional Development Executive role:

Dedication to operating with a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times
Detailed organisational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
Ability to think critically, strategically, and execute workplans independently
Tertiary qualifications to at least Bachelor’s level
Competency in the full range of I Can Read courses
Excellent command of the English language
Initiative to highlight challenges and resolve the issues they present
Leadership skills and a deep sense of responsibility
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Confidence in public speaking and presenting to large groups

Excellent capacity for learning and using new technology and digital tools
