Programmer – NextJS

We are looking for a NextJS programmer to create new software application systems as well as maintaining existing software applications used in the firm.  This is a technical hands-on role.  The primary focus for this position is application development, understanding and gathering of user requirements.

• Understand and gather requirements from users requirements for application system development.


• Develop and maintain NextJS websites based on business requirements


• Develop and maintain in-house enterprise applications like out of office system, CRM, etc using Next JS framework.


• Implement RESTful / Websocket API to communicate with Backend System.


• Implement UI/UX and develop interactive and dynamic websites based on business requirements.


• Maintain existing application systems and websites used by Straits Financial Group.


• Maintain alignment with Straits Financial Group IT policies and procedures.

• Minimum 3 years’ application development experience ideally frontend development experience.


• Strong knowledge and experience in Website development is desirable.  Including but not limited to HTML5, CSS, NextJS, NodeJS, Tailwind etc.


• Ability to pick up new programming languages for application development.


• Self-motivated, high level of dependability, organization, attention to detail, strong communication and problem solving skills required. Candidate must be able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment


• Strong team player.


• Python coding and knowledge on Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus.


• Background and working knowledge of IT Compliance and cybersecurity is a plus


• Working knowledge of commodity futures trading platforms is a plus
