Project and Engineering Manager

Project Engineering Manager - Your next position?
You will be responsible to plan and manage the inspection and maintenance of facilities, related infrastructure, electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as production machinery to ensure that the site runs operations without undesired disruptions and at optimal capacity level.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy design and execution
•Provide input to the local Operations business plan and related objectives with regards to e.g. production capacity, schedule of critical maintenance activities, changes in equipment, spare parts inventory, etc.
•Adapt and implement functional strategies locally and design and execute related tactical and operational plans.
Function management
Maintenance:
•Lead a team of maintenance specialists which executes maintenance activities, typically for a small/medium site.
•Apply preventive maintenance plans and continuous maintenance support to optimize availability and reliability of plant equipment and prevent business disruption.
•Define budgets based on maintenance requirements i.e. resources, materials, duration, etc.
•Conduct audits/inspections to ensure compliance of installations, equipment as well as users with EHS and QM policies.
•Identify, recommend and deploy improvements whether to correct non-compliant situations or optimize productivity.
•Manage spare parts inventory to optimize stock and dispose of obsolete materials.
•In coordination with Procurement, select and manage suppliers .
•Provide support to engineering projects in terms of operative procedures and equipment/installation trials.
•Execute the annual operating plan within approved budget.
CI Execution:
•Define the local continuous improvement program and step change improvement opportunities in collaboration with site leadership and challenge the local Operations organization in identifying CI opportunities in order to define fundamental changes to the value stream.
•Prioritize improvement areas, as well as related actions, and support site teams selecting best tools/methods from the CI toolbox to execute the improvement initiatives.
•Define CI certification standards to be met with the Site Operations management and measure level of achievement.
•Develop and leverage internal and external CI network to capture best practices and eventually rec-ommend and deploy these within the organization.
•Support implementation of focus improvement initiatives in other sites when requested.
Project Management:
•Track implementation progress of approved CI projects/programs, monitoring resource plans, project team accountabilities, change requests, deadlines, milestones, etc. and manage periodic updates to project stakeholders.
•Coach project managers and teams on applying Lean and Six Sigma concepts and tools during solution design and project execution phases.
People management:
•Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the local Maintenance team and validate related results.
•Work with local Operations and regional/global E&M management teams and HR Business Partner(s) in developing a local talent pipeline for the function.
•Drive the development and promotion of talents within and outside the function.
