Project Leader/ Manager (Manufacturing/ Japanese)

• Plan, design, develop, manage, document, test, deploy, and support new and existing modules
• Work on extensions of existing products
• Suggest and implement improvements on current products
• Work closely with other engineers to develop new products
• Resolve issues proactively to deliver high quality product

Background Requirements:
• Ability and willingness to dive into software and technical issues during design/development stage as well as during troubleshooting of customer issues.
• Candidate should have at least 5 years of proven experience working through the design, development, release- cycle delivering product to market.
• Candidate should have large / enterprise application development experience, especially with supply chain management (SCM)
• Proven record for successful delivery of software systems in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the Product Development life cycle.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English and Japanese.
• Strong time management, and problem solving skills.
• Candidate should be able to manage, evaluate, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• An entrepreneurial spirit with strong product and program management skills.
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Strong communication skills in engaging global cross- functional technical teams
Technical Requirements:
• Good understanding of Python
• Knowledge of Linux kernel, network
• Experience of industry and industrial improvement process
• Quality control in industrial requirements
• Planning, budgeting, and resource management skills
• At least 3 years of experience of project management
• Experience of project deployment and post- deployment support
• Ability to communicate and negotiate with customer
Additional Requirements:
• Knowledge of Source Control and Project Management tools like bitbucket, Redmine or JIRA
• Thorough with careful attention to detail.
• Strong analytical thinking skills.
• Solid understanding of development, testing and integration methodologies
• Ability to adapt to changing technology and priorities.
• Understanding of BI and Reporting Platforms along with industry trends and direction in BI/reporting
• Broad understanding of programming logic concepts and application analysis and design techniques.
• Good planning, organizing, decision- making and problem- solving skills.
• Knowledge of current and emerging IT products, services, and processes.
