RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pre- approval of Audit Report and CAP, then send to Quality Assurance Manager, Raw Materials (QAM- RM) for final approval.
Accountable to investigate any bulk fabric failures and work with the mills to implement the CAP to avoid further failures.
Follow up CAP and improvement program to drive for continuous improvement with the mills together and keep the record in the system.
Review the "development to bulk" and "bulk to bulk" traceability, e.g., 1st bulk sample check, on dye and chemical recipe, process flow, and parameters to make sure they follow SOP.
Train and implement the fabric inspection procedure in garment factories.
Review and map the fabric inspection process, e.g., IQC at the garment vendors routinely to ensure appropriate checks are being conducted.
Due diligent check for fabric aesthetic "Handfeel" (bulk against an approved standard) onsite with the factory QA team.
Conduct correlation exercises between Mill and Garment vendors for shrinkage and fabric flaws to ensure alignment on quality standards.
Oversee the Mill Evaluation Audit program conduct by 3rd Party for their specific region- ensure timely execution.
Support testing laboratory accreditation program for fabric mill and keep track of the status.
Check and review the inline fabric control process, e.g., inline inspection, test report (internal vs external), and color record (shade band and continuity record) to validate they have good inline quality management system check.
REQUIREMENTS:
Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English
Minimum of 5 years as Fabric mill / Fabric Development / Technologist/ Fabric Quality Assurance area / Garment Quality Assurance area/ relevant experience in Fabric production, with Buying office and laundry experience will be highly advantageous.
Capable in delivering presentations / training to internal and external stakeholders.
Experience implementing processes and procedures and collaborating with fabric mill and third party sourcing agents
