ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Live Payments is seeking an experienced QA Manager to join our growing/multi- national team. The QA Manager will ensure that all software products meet company standards for quality and reliability.
Core duties include:
• Identifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
• Coordinates product testing processes and may participate in product testing.
• Leads training activities on QA- related topics.
• Manages QA team on hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and resource allocation.
• Establishes and defines appropriate quality benchmarks and criteria for products and applications.
• Enhances testing capabilities guided by standard best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Ensures QA team productivity and identifies opportunities for greater efficiency and quality improvement.
• Lead QA process improvement initiatives and maintain and continuously improve existing test development processes and practices.
• Mentor other QA team members and assist them with domain knowledge.
• Conveys quality benchmarks and criteria to the QA team, software development team, and relevant stakeholders.
• Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products and applications meet required specifications for quality, functionality, and reliability before delivery.
• Collaborates effectively with team members and others in the organisation to resolve testing issues.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Experience working in the payments and financial services industries an advantage.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline will be an advantage.
• Over 10 years of experience in software testing.
• University Degree Qualified in a Tech or Business field.
KEY SKILLS
• Proven ability to develop and implement quality standards effectively.
• Outstanding communication skills that promote open dialogue and mutual respect among stakeholders.
• Extensive testing expertise in the entire software development life cycle and various test cycles, including Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, Smoke & Sanity.
• Over 5 years of experience leading quality assurance teams.
• Effective in taking ownership of business outcomes and motivating teams to take responsibility for their decisions.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• Proficient in aligning testing strategies with business objectives.
• Familiarity with QA best practices and methodologies for designing, implementing, and automating processes.
• Exceptional time management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
