Job Description:
Test Environment Management: Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments. This might include installing app builds, configuring devices, and managing test data.
Test Case Maintenance: Update and maintain existing test cases to reflect changes in product functionality.
Stay Up- to- Date: Keep abreast of new testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
Test Execution: Execute test cases (manual and/or automated) to identify software defects and ensure functionality meets requirements. This includes functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, UI/UX testing, and compatibility testing across different devices and operating systems.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved to ensure that fixes do not introduce new issues.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, clarify issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
Documentation: Maintain clear and organized documentation related to testing activities.
Test Planning: Participate in the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product specifications and user stories.
Requirements:
Experience: 1- 2 years of experience in software testing, preferably with experience in mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android).
Technical Skills:
Experience with different types of testing (functional, regression, performance, usability, security, etc.).
Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) and their respective testing tools (Xcode, Android Studio).
Basic understanding of API testing (using tools like Postman, Insomnia).
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and processes (e.g., black- box testing, white- box testing, grey- box testing, test- driven development (TDD), behavior- driven development (BDD)).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Proactive and eager to learn.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). This is especially helpful for automation.
Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts (for querying and verifying data).
Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.).
