QC Manager

DevBlock is looking for a talented individual to lead the QC effort for our entire company. This position identifies and formulates the quality assurance best practices, oversees the execution of the best practices, and works with project teams to make sure any releases shipped to the clients must be of a high-quality standard.

At a tactical level, the position manages the daily efforts of the QC team by allocating resources and maintaining a productive and efficient test team through test cycles. The position is responsible for setting goals for the QC team and measuring effectiveness and product quality to help drive process change. The QC Manager will mentor and hire world-class, efficient, and productive QCs.
The QC Manager should be well versed in web and mobile development. As a QC Manager you will be responsible for the following tasks on daily basis:

· Continually improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the QC efforts.

· Put together the QC process and support the project teams in their execution of it.

· Oversee the staffing and career development of the QC department.

· Conceptualize and guide the QC strategy for the team.

Familiarity with automated testing systems, and able to build an automation team.
Possess solid testing skills and able to train and lead team members at any level
Experience hiring and managing a QC team.
5+ years of software industry experience
Knowledge of any app distribution platform as an end-user.
An excellent grasp of the product development production process.
At least 2 years of experience in web and mobile development.
JIRA administration experience and workflow development.
3+ years of experience in a QC leadership position.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience managing and developing other managers.
QC expertise in a live operations environment with frequent releases.
