The Quality Supervisor oversees and ensures the quality of CNC machined parts and assembly parts in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. This role is responsible for leading quality inspectors, monitoring quality processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer requirements and regulatory standards are met.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Quality Control & Compliance
Monitor, implement, maintain, and develop quality procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Vision inspection systems, etc.).
Ensure WI and checksheets are completed and deployed for QC and relevant teams.
Supervise the quality inspection team (incoming, in- process, final inspection) to ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Review and approve first article inspection (FAI), in- process inspection, and final inspection reports. Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Evaluate individual and team performance; identify training and development needs.
Train and mentor inspectors and production personnel on quality standards and inspection techniques: GD&T interpretation, visual inspection criteria, quality documentation practices…
Lead daily quality huddles or briefings; manage workload balancing and shift coverage
Supervise, schedule, and develop quality inspectors across shifts.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA), 8D processes for internal and customer complaints.
Support SPC initiatives, process capability studies, and data- driven quality decisions.
Recommend and implement improvements to inspection processes and quality workflows.
Support continuous improvement activities, including 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Production, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Audit & Documentation Support
Other tasks assigned by the superior.
Participate in internal audits and assist with customer and third- party audits.
Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements
