Quality Assurance (Cum Business Analyst)

Reporting
The Quality Assurance reports directly to the Project Manager and Head of Analyst and Assurance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (70%)

Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for Mobile, Web applications, and APIs.
Document and communicate test findings, coverage, and quality metrics effectively to stakeholders, empowering informed decision- making.
Execute various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing, to identify and document bugs, defects, and usability issues.
Continuously refine QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with cross- functional teams to ensure that our product/project meet specified requirements.
Manage testing environments, including user accounts, configurations, and deployments, to maintain optimal functionality.

Business Analysis (30%)

Participate in requirement validation sessions to challenge unclear logic, helping reduce rework and scope creep in later stages.
Support in maintaining traceability between requirements and test coverage, ensuring transparency from business needs to test validation.
Collaborate with the BA/PM/PO to ensure requirement clarity and completeness
Use AI tools to support writing use case specification, or converting user needs into testable business rules.
Propose at least 1 improvement per quarter regarding business workflow or product logic based on QA insights or client/UAT feedback.

Qualifications/ Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software testing with a focus on mobile applications (Android and iOS), web applications.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience collaborating within cross- functional teams.
A strong team player mindset, coupled with proactive, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Previous hands- on experience in API testing, utilizing available API testing tools such as Postman, SOAPUI

Pluses:

Experience in scripting, coding, and utilising automation testing frameworks such as Appium, XCTest, LambdaTest, Webdriver.io, and Selenium.
Holding an ISTQB certificate.
Basic understanding of programming and the ability to build applications independently.
Proficiency in English.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
