Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE)

* Quality Assurance Processes:
- Create and update quality control documentation, including inspection plans, testing procedures, and quality manuals.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance processes and standards for furniture products.
* Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions:
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAP) to address and eliminate quality problems.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and make adjustments as necessary
- Investigate and analyze product defects and quality issues to determine root causes.
* Handling Customer Claims:
- Receive, investigate, and resolve claims from customers related to product quality issues.
- Document all customer claims and track their resolution.
- Audit CAP and feedback result to customers
- Communicate effectively with customers to address their concerns and provide timely solutions.
* Tracking Improvement and Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and improvement progress to management
- Track quality improvement initiatives and document the results.
- Maintain detailed records of all quality control activities, corrective actions, and improvements.
* Collaboration with Production Teams:
- Conduct training sessions for production teams on quality assurance best practices and procedures
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into production processes
- Provide technical guidance and support to production staff on quality- related issues
* Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and vendors
- Conduct supplier audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality
* Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and advancements in quality assurance practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
* Quality Metrics and Reporting:
- Present quality data and findings to stakeholders and recommend actionable solutions
- Prepare detailed quality reports for management, highlighting key findings, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and track key quality metrics to measure and analyze product quality performance.

- Proven experience in quality assurance within the furniture or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of furniture industry standards and regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Quality Engineering (e.g., CQE).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
- Ability to travel as needed for supplier audits and inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in quality control techniques and quality management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
- Experience with 3D CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
