Senior and Junior Merchandisers
These pivotal roles will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle from initial sourcing to final quality inspection, ensuring our garments meet the highest standards of quality, ethical production, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Identify, evaluate, and onboard new factories and suppliers, ensuring alignment with company standards.
· Conduct regular market research to stay informed of industry trends, material innovations, and new sourcing opportunities.
· Sourcing & Vendor Management
· Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, continuously assessing their performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers to achieve competitive costs and efficient production schedules.
Planning
· Maintain detailed quality control reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and defects.
· Quality Control & Assurance
· Oversee management and approval of all production samples (SMS, PP, TOP), ensuring they meet all required standards before bulk production commences.
· Oversee the testing of fabrics and garments for various parameters (e.g., colorfastness, shrinkage, durability) to ensure compliance with international standards and brand requirements.
· Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality control procedures and standards across all stages of production, from fabric inspection to finished garment.
· Identify and resolve quality issues promptly and effectively, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective actions.
· Oversee and conduct pre- production, in- line, shipping sample and final inspections at manufacturing facilities to ensure adherence to quality specifications, construction details, and fit.
Production & Supply Chain Management
· Oversee the management of packaging and labeling requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Collaborate closely with International Stakeholders and merchandising teams to understand seasonal requirements and translate them into production plans.
· Manage and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including delays, quality issues, and logistical challenges.
· Lead and Monitor production schedules and ensure on- time delivery of orders.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
· Lead and mentor a small QC and Merchandiser team
· Collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams, stakeholders, pattern makers, machinists and international operations
· Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sourcing and QC performance
