Quality Control Manager - Green Bean Coffee

This position reports directly to the Country Manager (foreigner).
Mercon Group is looking for a coffee quality expert (green bean) to join our team at Long Thanh Industrial Zone as Quality Control Manager to help us manage the quality control process of our company, assuring the company&039;s goals and strategy.
The main responsibilities of this position are:
- Manage cupping process and physical analysis process to determine coffee quality.
- Define and propose new blending formulas to get new products and maximize profits.
- Administer and analyze customer complaints and rejections to elaborate a corrective action plan.
- Develop new testing projects.
- Analyze the projected yield for coffee reception to support purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate quality inspection and calibration with clients and/or third parties.
- Validate and authorize the quality of finished products to guarantee meeting clients&039; specifications.
- Administer the operative budget of the QC department.
- Manage, train, and supervise the QC team.

You are a key member of the Mercon Group team in Vietnam, responsible for ensuring that our coffee is always according to required standards, and always looking for opportunities for improvement. You are a driven team player and multitasker that can liaise with multiple stakeholders, without compromising quality and details.
In addition:
- You have a strong passion for coffee.
- You have at least 3 years of experience working with SCA standards (desirable).
- You can communicate very well in English (both speaking and writing).
- You are available to travel locally and internationally.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in the preparation of coffee blends and qualities.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in budget elaboration and control.
- You have at least 5 to 8 years of experience managing the coffee sensory and defects analysis processes (required).
- You are an Arabica Q Grader.
- You have experience working with different quality management systems, for example, ISO (desirable).
