Quality Engineer

SUMMARYRepresents the quality function of technical support, in collaboration with other internal support groups, in addressing issues that impact manufacturing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the primary duties and responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed:

Develop and maintain QA plans and process routings that accurately reflect intended and actual activities.
Provide support for all quoting activities by participating in the design, development, and implementation of initial processes.
Encourage proactive engagement with suppliers and assist with their process improvement efforts when possible.
Serve as a technical liaison on quality issues with customers as required.
Follow all safety and health regulations related to this position, as well as any directives provided by the supervisor.
Enhance technical support within the quality organization.
Review all supplier and customer discrepancies; coordinate and track corrective and preventive action efforts.
Interface with all departments concerning company policies and procedures, with special emphasis on ISO, EN4600, and GMP documentation.
Monitor departmental activities and provide both technical and logistical support to the quality engineering team, as applicable.
Act as a liaison between Jabil Circuit and suppliers or customers on quality- related matters.
Participate in vendor survey activities when applicable.
Comply with all procedures outlined in the company&039;s security policy.
Support training programs by developing and implementing specialized sessions tailored to relevant functions.
Evaluate and support inspection processes through the development of inspection aids and instructional guidelines.
Periodically review and maintain all documentation files; establish effective systems for document storage and retrieval.
Lead corrective action efforts by utilizing SPC data and corrective action tracking systems; initiate meetings, procedures, or team- building activities as necessary.
Analyze defect trends occurring at the customer, supplier, and internal levels.

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with a minimum of two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
