ABOUT POSITION
Katalon is looking for a visionary Director of Quality Engineering to lead our quality initiatives in the Vietnam tech hub. In this role, you will spearhead efforts to ensure the delivery of exceptional software products and services. Reporting to the VP of Engineering and with a dotted line to the Chief Quality Architect, you will play a central role in shaping our quality engineering strategies and fostering a culture of excellence.
Core Responsibilities

Lead teams across multiple work streams on complex initiatives and programs.
Propel the evolution of test automation and quality engineering practices within our organization.
Advise and educate cross- functional teams on industry- leading approaches to software quality.
Strategize and execute a robust hiring strategy to support the ongoing growth of our organization.
Oversee the career development, growth, and performance evaluation of quality engineers within the organization.
Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering leaders to effectively scale team delivery for our platform.

Must- Have:

Continuous learning mindset to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements
Proven leadership experience in coaching and mentoring within a quality engineering team
In- depth understanding of current and emerging test methodologies and principles
Strong ability to manage and effectively multitask across a wide range of assignments and issues
Expertise in modern ecosystems and automated build/deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Azure Pipelines)
Excellent English communication and presentation skills
8+ years of hands- on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Katalon, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium
Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Nice to Have:

Knowledge of data engineering, data platforms, data visualization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications
Experience in delivering modern technology solutions and consulting on large- scale projects
Experience with cloud testing providers such as Kobiton, BrowserStack, and Sauce Labs
Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP
