Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Assurance
Monitor in- process quality and final inspection results to maintain product conformity.
Maintain proper quality documentation and ensure full traceability of production batches.
Lead daily quality inspection activities for metal stamping and assembly processes.
Ensure effective implementation of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans.
Ensure compliance with control plans, inspection standards, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Reduce defect rate, scrap, rework, and customer claims through systematic improvement.
Lead root cause analysis using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.
Support Lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives within the workshop.
Coordinate containment actions for internal defects and customer complaints.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor effectiveness.
Team Leadership
Build team capability in automotive quality tools and standards.
Supervise, train, and develop quality inspectors and technicians.
Assign daily inspection plans and monitor team performance.
Promote a strong quality mindset and zero- defect culture on the production floor.
Cross- functional Collaboration
Participate in internal and external audits (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Support new model introduction and mass production ramp- up activities.
Prepare and report quality performance data to management.
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Hands- on experience in metal stamping and assembly processes is required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leader position.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, especially IATF 16949.
Proficiency in core quality tools: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plan, PPAP.
Ability to read technical drawings and understand GD&T.
Good understanding of stamping dies, welding, and metal forming processes.
Soft Skills
Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
High level of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
Analytical thinking and structured problem- solving mindset.
Strong leadership and team management capability.
