JOB SUMMARY
Together with Product engineer to adjust/update new drawings for engineering/quality issues
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on design product engineering, new end items and purchased components
Process continuous improvement for improvement & cost saving
Work with CNC programmer, Product engineer & System team for new or change design.
Follow up through sample making from initial stage to final approval as official designs.
Takes care Casegoods R&D Engineering.
Work with US/ China R&D team to receive inline product engineering change, improvement or issue production solving for inline items from them & updating for Millennium site to deploy to production
Perform other tasks may be assigned by Department Head.
Work with Sourcing and purchasing for new material development as official designs.
Design & review assembly structure and required fabrication processes.
Process Case Goods project per Supervisor assignment
Design items for manufacturability, low cubic footprint, and achieve maximum material utilization.
Responsible for new development of products and their components; Design and update all new drawing information; provide spreadsheet for BOM updating; follow up initial running production to make sure first actual product matching with official design
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
In charge of Casegoods R&D Engineering.
• Assist in cost reduction project.
• Work on new style development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Intermediate in Furniture R&D Engineering or a related field or higher.
Experience
Packaging experiences are advantage.
1- 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
1 – 2 years’ experience working with equipment hardware and CAD; Solidworks softwares.
Development samples/ Pattern process experience.
Knowledge of:
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various Casegoods and Casegoods related products.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principle involved in production of precision patterns, drawings, and samples.
Knowledge and ability to create detailed technical drawings by softwares.
Skills and Abilities
Capable of identifying problems and solving problems.
Good attitude, sense of urgent mindset.
Results oriented.
Very proactive and energetic.
Able to communicate efficiently with others inside and outside the company.
Ability to work under high pressure.
