Manage R&D project
• Assess potential risks affecting product quality when customers use it. Conduct inspections and evaluations of products and materials according to customer requirements, and to prevent quality risks.
• Be responsible for updating customer requirements on new products and new materials for production
• Supervise the storage of goods in the assigned area
• Actively seek out technologies and production methods from competitors, craft villages, other companies, other countries... to apply production improvements more effectively and diversely.
• Actively seek new alternative materials to reduce production costs, ensure safety, health and other standards required by customers.
• Research and propose new production methods for old and new products to reduce production costs.
• Monitor all the company’s new product project that R&D department’s in charge of, ensuring the project take place in the right quantity, quality and schedule.
• Be responsible for handing over new products that the R&D department is in charge of for production department, risk analysis, prevention plans, production process, packaging process, customer quality criteria and sample documents …
Cost management:
• Propose solutions to cut production costs and reach customers&039; desired prices.
• Review prices before the accounting department sends prices to the sales department or customers.
• Analyze the production cost of each new product, production process, materials used, packaging costs, error rate, rework...
Communication:
• Standardize documents and document storage processes of the R&D department, put those forms and processes into practice, test and maintain them.
• Establish and maintain 5S for R&D department
• Standardize working processes, reporting systems, communication channels of the R&D department with the production department, directors, sales department and customers.
• Evaluate suppliers on quality, price and schedule before handing over to the supply department.
• Make and manage budget for the R&D department.
• Encourage the creativity of R&D members.
• Establish, maintain, and develop relationships with departments, suppliers, and customers on issues related to the R&D department.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of innovations and combine them with production to test on small models before deploying for mass production.
