R&D Technician (Dairy)

Key objectives
- Prepare and follow up sensory evaluation, supervise pilot and trials of NPD (New Product Developments) and non-NPD projects.
- Prepare and execute experiments, create product prototypes in the laboratory, analyze results and complete related reports.
- Manage equipment and facilities in R&D lab, and manage R&D data in SAP system.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments for NPD and non-NPD projects in scale of laboratory
- Keep up to date about market trends, the latest development in technology
- Provide support in the development and implementation of innovation, renovation and value engineering projects, by ensuring compliance with Company regulations, including, but not limited to, Food Safety & Quality and SHE (Safety–Health–Environment)
- Control the department budget
- Take care of new label checking and finetuning
- Take responsibility in all activities of internal sensory evaluation
- Follow-up pilot runs, production trial runs
- Control filing system/glass wares/equipment in the lab
- Provide support in external taste test

- Troubleshooting and risk analysis in cooperation with cross function
- Take responsibility in shelf-life evaluation of NPD and non-NPD projects
- Analyze samples in co-operation with QC Department, prepare overview and generate project reports

- Education: Bachelor (Food Technology, Food Engineering or Food Science).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Skills:
• Product development, food technology knowledge.
• Good communication skills.
• Detailed and careful to handle lab-scale/testing criteria.
• English writing and speaking.
