Responsibilities

Kitchen Organization: Ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to streamline operations and maintain a smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with the front- of- house team to ensure accurate and timely service.

Menu Execution: Contribute to the development and execution of menu items, adhering to the restaurant&039;s culinary standards.

Adaptability: Thrive in a fast- paced kitchen environment, adapting to changing priorities and demands. Contribute to a positive and energetic kitchen culture.

Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process, making adjustments as needed.

Cooking Techniques: Demonstrate proficiency in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, roasting, and frying. Maintain a deep understanding of ingredient properties and flavor profiles.

Food Preparation: Execute precise and consistent food preparation according to established recipes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.

Skills and qualifications

Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certification or equivalent, if applicable.
Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proven experience as a Cook in a reputable restaurant.
Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Ability to work in a high- pressure, fast- paced kitchen environment.
