Role

As a
Senior Backend Developer
, you will own the development and refinement of the most complex software components of our product. You will impact the software architecture and ensure its continuous improvement. You will bring in your expertise to propose solutions for constraints blocking product development. It is your job to be the thought leader on the most complex software challenges and effectively communicate with the team to ensure fast implementations. You will be part of a tight communication flow between our founder and tech lead, where your expertise and problem- solving skills are required. Together with our tech lead, you also take part in code reviews and implement quality assurance processes for the entire organization.

Responsibilities

Lead code reviews, mentor peers, and introduce best- in- class development tools.
Monitor system health, proactively tackle technical debt, and ensure high availability.
Implement features and performance improvements in Python/Django.
Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services and public APIs.
Develop and integrate front- end interfaces with React components.
Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and cross- team brainstorms.
Design, optimize, and document database schemas supporting millions of records.

Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Solid experience with React- You know when and how to leverage components for peak performance.
A proven track record in designing and optimizing complex database schemas for relational systems.
A proactive mindset: you generate ideas, teach teammates, and champion new tools or best practices.
The ability to self- organize complex projects, yet actively collaborate and share ownership in a cross- functional team.
3+ years of professional experience (or equivalent) in backend and/or full- stack roles.
Expert fluency in Python and Django, to the point where you “think in queries and migrations.”
High attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability in remote and international settings.
