Remote UI/UX Designer (Freelance/Contractor)

About the Project:
We are KVY TECH, a software development company working on an exciting B2B ecommerce project targeting senior citizens in Japan. The goal is to create a user- friendly, visually appealing, and conversion- optimized website that encourages users to sign up and make purchases. Think of it as an Amazon- style website, but specifically designed for senior citizens in Japan.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced designer with a solid understanding of UX to join our team on a contract basis. The designer must be fluent in Japanese and have a deep understanding of cultural nuances to ensure the design resonates with the target audience. The website will be colorful and designed to encourage signups and subsequent purchases.
Responsibilities:
Apply UX best practices to enhance user experience, accessibility, and ease of navigation
Create engaging, colorful visuals that encourage user signups and purchases
Work closely with our development team to ensure seamless design- to- development handover
Design a user- friendly B2B ecommerce website that caters to the needs of senior citizens in Japan
Conduct research to ensure the design aligns with the preferences and behavior of Japanese senior citizens
Requirements:
Strong understanding of UX principles and best practices
Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
Familiarity with designing for Japanese audiences and understanding of cultural nuances
Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)
Experience in designing websites that drive user signups and conversions
3+ years of experience in web or ecommerce design, ideally in B2B or similar fields
