Research Programmer Intern

Support in Data Collection & Analysis

Utilize AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to process or summarize information.
Use tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Python – if applicable) to organize, process, and visualize data.
Search, filter, and validate data from various sources (websites, reports, etc.).
Create summary tables tracking new developments or policies in science and technology fields.

Support in Operations Model Development

Adapt proven methods from the literature into practical, fit- for- purpose working models.
Execute, compare, and validate models to explore alternative scenarios and pathways.
Translate these conditions into computational model elements and features using Python, Julia (clear, well- documented code expected).
Work in a small team to ensure model analysis is rigorous.
Develop an understanding of real- world operational conditions and constraints in the power/energy sector and related environmental processes.

Reporting & Documentation

Help consolidate analytical results into reports (Word, PowerPoint, Google Slides).
Create clear and concise presentation slides.
Participate in infographic creation and support internal communications.

Education & Background

3rd- year university students or recent graduates from fields such as Environment, Economics, Data Science, IT, or any discipline with strong analytical thinking.
No in- depth experience required, but interns must be eager to learn and willing to acquire new knowledge.

Basic Skills

Familiar with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude AI, etc.) for search, summarization, and outlining tasks.
English: Able to read and comprehend documents; basic communication is a plus (IELTS 6.5+ or equivalent).
Bonus: Experience with Python, GIS, or other data analysis tools (you’ll be guided – no need to be an expert).
Proficient in office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiar with Google Drive/Docs, Notion.
