1Job holder acts as a manager of risk management function to provide expert counsels/ support Management Team of BIDV- MetLife in building up and implementing an effective Risk Management Policy/Regulation; Risk Management Framework including appropriate risk limit setting and institutionalizing Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) for the Country and implements all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of the Company of Risk management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To provide expert counsels/ support Management Team of BIDV- MetLife in designing, developing, and delivering an effective Risk Management Framework, policies, and process for the Company.
• To develop country risk reporting / dashboard; timely communicate / escalate risk events, issues, and compliance with risk policies and limits (including RAS) to the Management team and Regional office. Promptly report to Board of Members of the Company, in case of discovering risks that can seriously affect financial safety and operational efficiency.
• To work closely with MetLife Risk Regional Office to identify and adopt best practices, ensure that MetLife’s standards are implemented and met in all areas.
• To support local Risk Management Committee in carrying out its responsibilities.
• To partner with Investment, Finance, Product, and Actuarial teams to identify, assess and manage financial risks that cover: credit, interest rate, equity, liquidity, insurance and product risks by developing and applying the scenarios to test the risk tolerance of the business.
• To develop and apply risk assessment and measurement models to early identify and assess of all risks that may adversely affect the Company’s operation efficiency and objectives; and propose measures to control, prevent and minimize risks arising (if any).
• To coordinate with departments at the first line of defense to implement integrated risk management framework, including top risk and top emerging risk identification and mitigation, implementation of appropriate risk management systems and loss event database.
