What the role is: The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring an optimal promotion, distribution and revenue generation of all products available at the hotel. This position reports to the General Director of the company and the Hotel Manager at location level and will be implementing Marketing & Sales strategies and following corporate procedures. Knows very well the market and will be developing partnerships and brand promotions.
Sales
Create, manage and execute the location’s sales actions plan and forecast
Group sales conversion, turnover and operational support
Dealing with customer enquiries and aiming to meet their expectations.
Manage the location’s OTAs inquiries
Report analysis on Guest Satisfaction Surveys
Ensure all staff is properly trained on hotel products and offerings, and how to sell and cross- sell them.
Oversee the customer experience for fam trips, and educational visits for customers
Close local level deals for groups and packages (corporate offsites, student groups, etc.)
Open new sales channels and manage existing ones
Responsible for ensuring all the location team is appropriately using hotel PMS (must check systems minimum 5 times a day)
Upselling and cross- selling in location level to optimize revenue per customer
Create local level packages based on special events and local experiences offered
Prospect new clients e.g. Tour Operators, Corporate, DMCs, Travel Agencies, M&E Agencies and Creative Marketing Agencies
Sourcing new tour products and destinations to meet consumer demands.
Provide sales performance reports the country and regional leadership on tracking progress against targets, successes and challenges
Cross- selling of products (i.e. Explore products to other businesses locally)
Achieve revenue goals for all products (accommodation, F&B, Explore, Co- working, Wellness)
Manage, retain and grow established customers (individual) and groups (group business)
Responsible for establishing and monitoring incentive campaigns the front- line team
Marketing
Manage sales and marketing budget
Coordinate with product teams to ensure the right mix for location e.g. do we have the right amount of Retail space and products
Visit new local destinations in order to gain information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers.
Promote the hotel brand, experience and services to drive sales and revenue in all products (rooms, co- work, tours, wellness, F&B, retail).
Manage the sale & marketing process for all activities in your location
Create, manage and execute the location’s marketing plan in accordance with brand guidelines
Use CRM to log activity, opportunities and closed/won deals Marketing
Provide sales guidance and assistance across location so everyone is supporting the revenue generation efforts (reception, F&B employees etc.)
Coordinate the location’s social media management and promotional materials
Analyze data and provide reports with conclusions
Manage local public relations and influencers
Manage the sale & marketing process for all activities in your location
Work with hotel teams to establish local partnerships to drive location revenue including events and sponsorship
Support in the creation of marketing initiatives for all products in the location with the support of the Country Sales & Marketing coordinator and external vendors.
Create and maintain a unique experience across all offerings.
