Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue by developing and executing effective sales strategies across corporate, leisure, MICE, and travel trade segments. During the pre- opening phase, the Sales Manager plays a crucial role in building the client base, establishing brand presence, and positioning the hotel competitively in the Da Nang market. Post- opening, this role focuses on maintaining strong relationships and consistently achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre- Opening Phase:
Identify and build relationships with key accounts, travel agents, corporate clients, and event planners.
Work with the DOSM/GM on branding, PR campaigns, and promotional activities.
Participate in local market research and competitor analysis to establish strategic positioning.
Assist in developing the pre- opening sales and marketing plan, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
Support the setup of the Sales & Marketing department, including systems, databases, and sales tools.
Sales & Business Development:
Actively solicit and manage new and existing accounts to generate room and event revenue.
Negotiate and finalize group contracts, long- stay agreements, and corporate rate deals.
Conduct regular client visits, site inspections, and sales calls to maintain strong customer relationships.
Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the hotel.
Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Revenue & Reporting:
Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets for rooms, MICE, and other revenue streams.
Maintain an updated sales pipeline and generate regular sales activity and performance reports.
Monitor market trends and provide input for rate adjustments and promotional offers.
Collaboration & Communication:
Liaise with Marketing to support online and offline campaigns and promotions.
Coordinate closely with Reservations, Front Office, and Events teams to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
Share market intelligence and feedback with the team to improve overall strategy.
