Senior Automation QC Engineer

Reports To: The Senior Automation QC Engineer will report to the manager of the QC team.

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated mentor to join our team as the Leader of Automation Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding our automation testing efforts, mentoring a team of skilled engineers, and ensuring the efficient and effective testing of our web applications and APIs. If you have a strong background in automation testing using Playwright or Selenium, Puppeteer with Javascript, experience with writing automation API scripts using Postman, and a proven track record of leading teams, we would like to hear from you.

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback


• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases


• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities


• Design, develop and execute automation scripts


• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions


• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts


• Oversee the development of robust automation test scripts for web applications using Playwright or Selenium with Javascript.


• Supervise the creation of automation API scripts using Postman to validate the functionality and performance.


• Lead and mentor a team of 5 or more automation engineers, providing technical guidance and support.


• Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous learning.


• Utilize automation testing frameworks, tools, and best practices to drive team efficiency and productivity.


• Stay up-to-date with advancements in automation testing technologies and methodologies.

Experience:

• Proven experience in automation testing using Playwright or Selenium with Javascript.


• Strong experience in writing automation API scripts using Postman.


• Significant experience in building API test automation framework(s) from scratch across


• Minimum of [5] years of experience leading a team of 5 or more members in an automation testing role.


• Experience in testing web application


• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases, test script


• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, Bonus: GIT, GitLab


• Have a strong understanding of Non-Functional and Security testing.


• Experience with, Accessibility, SEO concepts.


• Have strong organizational skills and enjoy a dynamic and agile environment.

Skills:

• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and practices.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• Certifications in performance testing tools or methodologies (optional).
