Senior Backend Developer (Python/React/Database)

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer with a deep understanding of data integration, machine learning, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of a cutting-edge software platform designed to process, integrate, and analyze vast sets of data from varied sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights.

• Design, develop, and maintain a software platform capable of integrating data from hundreds of different official sources, potentially in multiple languages.


• Implement advanced machine learning algorithms to identify and match related data from disparate sources, even when data isn't exactly matching.


• Address issues of data misalignment, where data from different sources have inconsistencies or are populated in wrong fields.


• Craft sophisticated algorithms to link and map relationships between datasets, ensuring that related entities are appropriately linked.


• Develop a graphical interface to visually represent relationships between entities, facilitating easy drill-down capabilities.


• Harness customs data to derive insights on current market trends, historical prices, demand patterns, tax, and tariff implications, and more.


• Use predictive analytics to forecast future market demands, price fluctuations, and potential supply chain disruptions.


• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to continually refine the platform's capabilities and features.


• Ensure the platform adheres to the highest security and data protection standards.


• Regularly update the platform to incorporate new data sources, improve processing speed, and enhance user experience.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.


• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on data integration and machine learning applications.


• Proficiency in nodejs


• Preference for those who are capable of languages such as Python, React, PHP


• Strong experience in database management and data warehousing solutions.


• Familiarity with natural language processing, especially in handling multilingual datasets.


• Experience with graphical data representation and visualization tools.


• Demonstrable experience with predictive analytics and forecasting models.


• Adept at understanding complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with customs data, bill of lading data, company registry data, and related datasets.


• Knowledge of global trade, import-export regulations, taxes, and tariffs.
