Senior Backend (NodeJS, Python, Raw Media)

As a Backend Engineer, your role will have:

Continually enhance our engineering practices and code quality through rigorous peer reviews.
Design, build, and maintain the backend systems essential for our video product offerings.
Manage large- scale data and complex video processing tasks, while conducting performance optimizations.
Demonstrate quick and precise problem- solving capabilities, taking personal responsibility for outcomes.
Juggle multiple tasks and projects, effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines.
Assume ownership of specific features and components, collaborating with cross- functional teams to ensure seamless integration and effective delivery.
Focus on results, with strong planning skills to meet project timelines

About you

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, monitoring, and logging
8+ years’ experience developing Backend technologies using Node, Python in a cloud environment.
Expertise in API design and integration
Familiarity with NoSQL databases is an advantage
University Degree within the field of Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience in developing event- driven architectures and implementing message queue systems
Comfortable working across a range of technologies and are flexible to adapt to the shifting demands of the role
Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures
Strong experience with relational databases and proficiency in SQL
