Senior Business Analyst / Associate Product Manager

This is a hybrid role combining traditional BA responsibilities with product management elements—you&039;ll own the "what" and "why" of features, design implementation approaches, and ensure what we build actually addresses the underlying business need.
About the Role
We&039;re looking for a senior business analyst who goes beyond requirements gathering to shape how we build our products. You&039;ll interpret stakeholder needs, design solutions, and work closely with engineering and product to deliver features that solve real business problems.

Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to uncover needs, not just document requests
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Make trade- off decisions between business needs, technical constraints, and user experience
Create wireframes, process flows, and data models to communicate solutions
Design end- to- end workflows and user journeys for complex features

Product Collaboration

Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering—translate in both directions
Own specific features or product areas end- to- end, from concept through delivery
Identify opportunities for product improvements based on user feedback and data
Partner with product managers to shape roadmap priorities based on stakeholder value and feasibility

Stakeholder Management

Communicate complex technical concepts to non- technical audiences
Build relationships with internal teams and external customers
Manage expectations and negotiate scope when needed
Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on solutions

Work embedded with engineering teams throughout development cycles
Support UAT, create test scenarios, and ensure smooth launches
Document features and create enablement materials for internal teams
Validate that delivered features meet both functional requirements and business intent

What You&039;ll BringRequired:

Ability to work in ambiguous environments and make structured decisions with incomplete information
Deep understanding of user story mapping, process modeling, and requirements documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication—you can explain complex concepts clearly
Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma/Miro, or similar
Strong track record of designing solutions, not just documenting requirements
5+ years in business analysis, with experience in B2B or SaaS products
Experience with complex, multi- stakeholder software products

Strongly Preferred:

Product management experience or responsibilities
Track record of shipping complex features from inception to launch
Technical enough to discuss APIs, data models, and system architecture with engineers
SQL or basic data analysis skills
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies in a hands- on capacity
Background in enterprise software or B2B platforms

Nice to Have:

Experience with user research and usability testing
Product management certification (CSPO, Pragmatic Institute, etc.)
Understanding of modern software architecture patterns
Background in technical writing or documentation
