Senior Cloud Security Engineer

As a part of a larger Security organization, you will be working with cross-functional teams, such as SRE, IT, and Product to influence and develop security products and practices.
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security Resilience team. The role is a Senior position, coming in with years of real-world experience in public cloud security. The successful candidate will help define and execute a strategy to enhance the security of our cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Operational staff to identify and drive security resolution on Google Cloud, GSuite, and Cloudflare.
Troubleshooting and resolving incident problems related to firewall, remote access, and other operational issues with other teams.
Act as a subject matter expert for GCP, IdAM, SWG, CASB, PAM, SIEM, DLP, SASE, EDR, and any future cloud or workforce security initiatives.
Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall cloud and operations security.
Automate operational and monitoring requirements.
Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of cloud security including awareness of new or revised security designs, improved security processes, and best practices.
Conduct security reviews on GCP cloud environments and implement approved targeted improvements and mitigations.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of data security and access control systems, encryption, and related matters.
Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables
Professional IT experience of 3+ years, specifically in Cloud Security.
Competent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to lead projects
Extensive knowledge of information protection methodologies and concepts, such as identification and authentication, access control, inception, and audit trails.
Solid experience, knowledge, and understanding of security specific to GSuite, Google Cloud, and Cloudflare are required.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficient in programming in Python and/ or Golang and automating mindset is required.
Security designations (CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, GCP Security) and knowledge of "best practice" frameworks (ISO27001, NIST) are preferred but not required.
Knowledge of attacker methodologies and techniques.

Knowledge of Single Sign On, SAML, Federation, and Internet/Intranet architecture and design.
