Create and execute strategic plans & initiatives
· Lead and manage the costing team on all operational and tactical issues to ensure that target FOB are achieved and on time costing information are properly completed by deadline; full responsibilities to ensure all required and updated information are reported and maintained (balanced scorecard)
· Prepare and maintain the long term costing planning
· Supports development, implementation and constant evolution of the Costing strategy
· Provide analytical recommendations on process enhancements.
· Review the existing costing process and explore opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership
· Lead the costing team to collaborate and liaison other cross functional teams, factories and each local office to review and negotiate all the product specifications and challenges to ensure that the FOB and margin requirement are achieved.
· Manage a thoughtful and pro- active HRP planning process with the goal of developing and maintaining a highly effective and motivated team.
· Be a coach for direct reports. Provide ongoing constructive feedback on team member’s performance, with the goal to helping team members realize their full potential.
· Direct a recruitment and training process that will realize the HRP plan. Work with other teams to identify future opportunities for and champion the skills of existing team members.
Direct a robust cost planning and management process
· Identify automation and standardization opportunities in processes that will free up capacity to invest in higher value adding activities.
· Drive clearly planned and defined cost management processes with clearly defined roles and responsibilities. Where applicable, align with costing standards.
· Drive a collaborative continuous improvement culture across the costing team.
· Execute and validate cost capture of efficiency/ improvement opportunities.
· Maintain a forward looking process that scans the horizon for risks (e.g. macro- economic) and work across functions and organizations to identify mitigating strategies.
Collaboration and Communication
· Proactively involved in various topics in relation to the capacity planning, allocation and other critical corporate initiatives.
· Work collaboratively and across functions (materials, development, design, innovation lab, engineering) and across organization to identify and implement sustainable cost improvement opportunities
· Ensure key messages or objectives are communicated to key audience under detail- oriented working environment.
· Analyses organizational performance (e.g. Key Performance Indicators, business operations & efficiency), forecasting costing operational risk, and working within the Operations Group organization to mitigate potential issue.
· Resolve conflicts and divergence among different opinions to ensure the goals are executed.
· Facilitates functional project reviews and communication plans to impacted factories and cross functional departments.
