Senior Data Engineer Snowflake, Data warehousing, SQL

MEGAZONE Vietnam is looking for a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with strong experience in Databricks to join our dynamic global team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing large- scale data pipelines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with offshore teams at MEGAZONE CLOUD and external partners
What You Will Do:

Implement and enforce data quality, monitoring, and governance processes.
Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Databricks and Snowflake.
Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver clean, reliable datasets.
Build data ingestion pipelines from structured and unstructured data sources (e.g., APIs, databases, files, streaming data).
Implement data modeling best practices (dimensional/star schema) in Snowflake.
Manage and optimize cloud data warehouse infrastructure (especially in AWS environments).
Mentor junior engineers and review code to ensure best engineering practices are followed.
Contribute to the evolution of our data platform architecture and provide thought leadership on best practices.
Automate data workflows and job orchestration using tools such as Airflow, DBT, or Databricks Workflows.

Basic Qualifications:

Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices.
5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
Strong hands- on experience with Snowflake: data warehouse design, performance optimization, and SQL.
Proficient with Databricks (or Apache Spark): developing, debugging, and optimizing data pipelines.
Familiarity with CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps principles in data environments.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferably AWS).

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with real- time data processing (Kafka, Spark Streaming).
Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
Experience integrating Snowflake and Databricks with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Experience with Delta Lake, MLflow, or Unity Catalog in Databricks.
Knowledge of DBT, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
