As an EHS Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the organization&039;s compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards embed safety into XP’s culture / behaviors. You will work closely with employees, management, Global EHS and regulatory bodies to develop, implement, and monitor effective EHS policies and procedures.
EHS Compliance, Policy and Procedure Development:
Establish, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines. Communicate with cross functions & employees on EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
Review and update policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations or organizational needs.
Stay up- to- date with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, health, and safety. Ensure the organization&039;s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential EHS risks and non- compliance issues.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification :
Collaborate with relevant departments to implement effective controls and preventive measures
Conduct annual risk assessments and hazard identification or in case of change for all the processes across the organization & develop strategies to mitigate and control risks.
Emergency Preparedness:
Conduct emergency drills and exercises to test emergency response capabilities.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure readiness for potential emergencies
Incident Management:
Maintain incident reporting systems and documentation. Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and implement preventive measures.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Training and Education:
Establish EHS training plan & conduct annual & refreshing training as planned for employees and contractors.
Oversee & improving process of chemical safety management activities such as PPE matrix management, training, monitoring & SDS availability.
Provide ongoing EHS training and education to enhance awareness and knowledge.
EHS Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Provide First Aid Response for medical emergencies including injuries, chemical exposures, and fainting incidents
Prepare and submit relating reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
Establish, consolidate and coordinate with relevant departments to lead the 5S improvement program of the factory according to the guidelines from Global.
Collect and analyze data to evaluate EHS performance and identify areas for improvement.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor EHS/ESG/Net Zero performance.
Waste Management
Develop and implement waste minimization strategies
Conduct training sessions to employees on the best practices for waste reduction and recycling.
Optimize waste management process ( industrial waste, domestic waste, hazardous waste & waste water,…) to identify cost- saving opportunities
Continuous Improvement:
Cordination with customer audit & ISO 14001, 9001, 13485 audit from 3rd party. Establish & implement corrective action plan for all the EHS findings from the audits
Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance EHS performance.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Stay informed about new developments and advancements in EHS practices.
Continuously assess and improve EHS management systems and processes.
