Summary
Our Partner seeks an accomplished Head of Engineering with experience in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry. The job holder is responsible for developing engineering and maintenance plans to achieve strategic business goals. This includes overseeing maintenance management, maximizing machinery efficiency, driving engineering excellence and improvement projects across the business.
Job Responsibilities
Design and manage engineering improvement programs from initial phase of planning to implementation and transition.
Develop engineering and maintenance plan to ensure maximizing machinery efficiency and meet business objectives.
Develop plans that will drive Continuous Improvements Programs within the Engineering function across business and plant levels.
Provide input at early stages in the new product development process, coordinating with and supporting the new product development team to implement new and revised designs and developing effective processes to ensure technical manufacturability while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and achieving cost targets.
Lead the identification, scoping, and delivery of capital projects across manufacturing to improve safety, quality, capacity, optimize the cost of operations and develop new capabilities.
Overall responsibility for Manufacturing Engineering management and maintenance activities across the business to effectively deliver a world- class Engineering service and ensure the efficient production of Safe and Legal Food products.
Create and implement best practice manufacturing engineering mission, processes and procedures (engineering standards) to meet business performance and manufacturing operational needs in terms of production, quality and delivery targets.
Conduct business case analysis to validate process and system improvement programs
People Management
Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.
Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support the business objectives and customer deliverables.
Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
Provide leadership to department, coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
