Senior General Accountant (Salary Upto $2000)

Essential Duties
● Establish procedure and process invoices received for school activities;
● Review and process travel expense report and expense claim report
according to school’s operating guidelines;
● Responsible for making all necessary postings for book closing;
● Reconcile balance sheet accounts with proper back-ups;
● Prepare monthly salary journal entries booking.
● Keep track unearned revenue, allocate revenue monthly;
● Review all accounting transactions before recording in the accounting books;
Account Payable and Receivable
● Review and request for payment approval for invoices, travel expense
report, expense claim report;
● Ensure all account payable are paid according to established guidelines;
● Calculate and pay on time for dues and taxes for school business;
● Follow-up with requestor for lack of explanation, missing receipt,
non-reimbursable expenses;
● Make wire transfer request through internet banking system and wire
transfer to oversea vendors/suppliers;
● Checking all supporting documents (Requisition form, travel authorization form
documents;
follow the legality and accuracy of data and information on accounting
approved, legal Tax invoice…) before processing payment and make sure they
● Manage AP to oversea vendors & request payments on time;
● AR follow-up: Overdue outstanding invoices and follow up with parents/guardians
Book Closing
to make sure AR collection in time & avoid overdue AR.
● Make journal entries for paid invoices, travel expense report and expense
claim report;
● Ensure account and department codes are correctly booked in the general
ledger;
● Get month-end bank balance confirmation from banks.
● Transfer of pre-paid expenses and insurances to proper expense accounts;
● Capture all major business spending in the month it occurred;
● Generate account payable list after book closing;
● Accrue un-paid expenses as account payable for the month;
Tax and Invoice Preparation
● Prepare & review all kinds of Tax reports & other reports to local authorities
report, monthly WHT report & follow up to take Tax Certificate on time;
in accuracy and adhere to the deadline, including: PIT, CIT, monthly VAT
● Invoicing on time and with accuracy.
Financial Statements
● Assist the CFO in preparing Yearly FS Reports, Budgets and Forecasts.
● Control software system;
● Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts with proper back-ups;
● Prepare tax invoice list for VAT return;

PREFERRED ATTITUDE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION
● Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, ability to work efficiently
● Advance knowledge in VAS and IFRS and the prevailing tax regulations;
● Familiar with Vietnamese Law and Regulations;
● 5 years of experience or International school’s experience prefered;
● Strong at Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, Power point;
● Logical thinking, strong organizational skills;
● Good communication in both English and Vietnamese;
● Strong analytical ability and time management skills;
● Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting;
● Conversant on accounting and business office software including Excel;
● Impeccable personal ethics;
● CPA certification preferred;
