Senior Infrastructure Security Specialist

Server, Virtualization & Cloud Management:

Monitor performance, apply patches/updates, and ensure high availability.
Support cloud migration projects and drive cost optimization initiatives.
Administer enterprise servers (Windows, Linux), virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper- V), and cloud resources (AWS, Azure, CMC).
Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to guarantee business continuity.

Network & Security Administration:

Design, configure, and manage LAN, WAN, Wi- Fi, VPN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and switching infrastructure.
Deploy and enforce advanced security measures, including segmentation and intrusion prevention.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and optimize network performance and uptime.

Identity & Access Management:

Manage user accounts, access rights, and authentication services.
Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
Ensure domain controller health, redundancy, and secure integration with enterprise systems.

IT Security & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO, NIST, internal security frameworks).
Develop, implement, and enforce IT security policies and standards.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, patching, penetration testing, and regular security audits.

IT Infrastructure Projects & Leadership:

Plan, coordinate, and execute IT infrastructure projects, including migrations and upgrades.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff.
Collaborate with cross- functional teams and external vendors to ensure project success.
Establish best practices, system documentation, and operational standards.

Monitoring & Technical Support:

Analyze logs and alerts to ensure timely response to incidents.
Use monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds) to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure issues.
Provide tier 2/3 escalation support to minimize downtime and maintain service availability.

Education:

Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in IT infratrusture, operations.

Work skills:

Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, routing, firewall).
Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
Familiarity with IT monitoring tools (Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds) and security tools (IDS/IPS, SIEM).
Knowledge of IT security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Proficient in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper- V).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, CMC) and hybrid integration.
Experience in IT systems (AD, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, Office 365, Ivanti, Azure AD).
