Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Graphics Stack Embedded System Engineer with a proven track record in porting and abstraction of subsystems. In this vital role, you will not only be spearheading the adaptation of our Linux- based embedded systems to novel hardware platforms, develop and maintain of the graphics subsystem in our embedded Linux platform but also fostering the development of scalable and flexible solutions. Your leadership and strategic input will be pivotal in steering the direction of our embedded systems&039; architecture and integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership in Subsystem Porting
Mentor junior engineers in developing and maintaining hardware abstraction layers.
Lead and strategize the porting of Linux- based embedded systems to new hardware platforms, guiding the overall architectural direction.
Spearhead collaborates with hardware engineers to fine- tune software- hardware interfaces.
Abstraction Subsystem Development
Develop advanced APIs and libraries to interface with subsystem functionalities, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
Innovate and lead the design and implementation of abstract layers for various subsystems, promoting modular development.
Kernel Customization and Performance Tuning
Guide the optimization of kernel configurations to enhance system performance, drawing from a deep understanding of kernel internals.
Provide leadership in customizing Linux kernel components to optimize performance and reliability.
Driver Development and Integration
Lead the development and integration of device drivers, fostering partnerships with vendors and communities to facilitate improvements and resolve issues.
Spearhead initiatives for the integration of new technologies and hardware components, aligning with industry best practices.
Documentation and Collaboration
Collaborate with cross- functional teams to drive the successful integration and testing of ported subsystems, serving as a technical liaison and advisor.
Develop comprehensive documentation strategies for porting and abstraction initiatives, fostering knowledge sharing across teams.
Develop and Maintain Graphics Subsystem.
Implement and optimize graphics rendering, including CPU and GPU rendering.
Contribute to the development and customization of Window Manager (e.g., X11, Weston – a Wayland Compositor).
Debug and troubleshoot graphics and display issues.
Develop and maintain drivers for graphics and display devices.
Integrate and configure the Linux graphics stack, including DRM/KMS, EGL, and Wayland.

Education and Experience
Bachelor&039;s or master&039;s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, PhD is a plus.
5+ years of experience in Linux embedded systems development, with substantial experience in porting and abstraction subsystems.
Skills
Strong understanding of the embedded graphics stack, including DRM/KMS, EGL (OpenGL and/or Vulkan), Window Manager (e.g., X11, Weston, Wayland) and basic concepts of 2D and 3D graphics rendering.
Proven experience with bootloaders (e.g., U- Boot) and kernel configuration and customization.
Expertise in C and C++ programming languages, with mastery in Linux kernel internals and device driver development.
Proficiency in source control systems (e.g., Git) and build systems (e.g., Yocto Project, Build root).
Experience with graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, Vulkan).
In- depth understanding of various hardware platforms and interfaces (e.g., ARM, MIPS, PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.).
Experience with CPU and GPU rendering techniques.
