We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Senior Manager – Credit Risk Management at our Financial Services Division. As the Senior Manager – Credit Risk Management, you will play a pivotal role by leading the underwriting process and leveraging big data to support decision- making. You will be responsible for managing a team to ensure efficient operations, and drive data- driven underwriting strategies to mitigate risk and enhance the overall lending portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of underwriting principles, credit risk assessment, and a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
What you will do
Develop and Implement Underwriting Strategies:
Define and execute a comprehensive underwriting strategy aligned with MoMo’s business objectives, risk appetite, and industry best practices;
Harness the potential of big data big data to to enhance underwriting accuracy, scalability, and customer- centricity;
Drive Data- Driven Decision- making:
Utilize advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques to analyze vast amounts of data and extract valuable insights that inform underwriting decisions;
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop innovative algorithms and models that improve risk assessment and streamline underwriting processes;
Risk Assessment and Portfolio Optimization:
Lead the evaluation and assessment of credit risks associated with loan applications, combining traditional and alternative data sources to gain a holistic view of applicants’ creditworthiness;
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the lending portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive risk mitigation strategies;
Stakeholder Collaboration and Partnerships:
Collaborate with cross- functional teams, including product development, data analytics, and corporate risk management to align underwriting practices with organizational goals and regulatory requirements;
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to keep ahead with industry trends and regulatory changes;
Thought Leadership and Innovation:
Stay up- to- date with industry advancements and emerging technologies related to underwriting, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance processes, mitigate risks, and deliver innovative underwriting solutions;
Foster a culture of innovation within the underwriting team, encouraging creative thinking and the exploration of new methodologies and technologies;
Compliance and Risk Mitigation:
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the underwriting process;
Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard MoMo’s interests;
What you will need
Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to underwriting;
Experience in utilizing big data and advanced analytics tools to drive underwriting decisions;
Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, underwriting principles, and lending practices;
7+ years of experiences in underwriting, preferably in financial institutions or fintech company with good knowledge of the local markets and minimum 04 years at management level;
Excellent communication skills, leadership and team management abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus;
