Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser (Accessories Development & Production)
The candidate should have over 6 years of experience in accessories (Blankets, Robes, Bags, Shoes, Slippers, Hats, Socks, Eye masks, Scrunchies…), preferably with FOB business handling.
with a strong background in development, sourcing, costing, and production follow- up for the US & EU markets.
Experience working for agents or trading companies is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Development
- Review T&A with Merchandising Manager before making customer quotations.
- Develop Time & Action (T&A) Calendar for each season based on fabrication and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Fabric Sourcing Specialist for new fabric development and follow up on sample yardage deliveries.
- Work directly with fabric suppliers on pricing, sample yardage, capacity, and delivery details.
Production
Pricing
- Negotiate prices with mills and factories; review costing with Division Manager before customer quotes.
- Double- source key items for risk management.
- Create costing sheets and update them upon changes.
- Provide multiple costing versions aligned with customer target prices.
Bulk Fabric
- Collaborate with the Tech Team and mills to resolve bulk fabric issues.
- Create fabric commitment charts and coordinate fabric orders with mills/factories.
- Ensure lab dips and fabric deliveries meet timelines.
Sample
- Track fit sample status and update charts for technicians and customers.
- Review sewing construction practicality with Tech Team, factory, and designers.
- Coordinate with customers, technicians, and factories to ensure red tag samples are approved on time.
- Work with factories to submit TOP samples, check quality before sending to customers.
Orders Allocation
- Update costing, T&A, projections, and fabric commitment charts each season.
- Participate in order placement discussions with the Division Manager.
- Work on production flow & factory capacity management.
Pre- Production
- Follow up testing reports to ensure quality meets standards.
- Verify fabric, trims, and styling details before production.
- Organize pre- production meetings with QC, technicians, and factories.
- Develop bulk fabric shade bands and handfeel standards with Tech Team.
Production Follow- up
- Coordinate with QC and factories for WIP status and provide timely updates to customers.
- Monitor order details and track progress.
- Update pending orders, generate MPO as needed.
