Senior Odoo Python Developer

The Role
Perform as an experienced Senior Odoo Python Developer within the Digital team. The ideal candidate should display a passion for high quality software development with attention to detail. Expect ample opportunities for advancement, as well as generous bonus programs.
Responsibilities
To help deliver AVTech’s strategy the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Design, develop and test Odoo ERP modules including Python development;
Configure, install and maintain Odoo ERP environment;
­Pro-actively monitor and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues;
­Liaise with other Digital team members and internal staff/users to improve and apply ERP best practice;
Actively evaluate and adopt new technologies to optimize company processes and stay up­-to-­date with industry trends.

To help deliver AVTech’s strategy the successful candidate MUST HAVE the following skills, experience, qualifications and personality attributes:
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 4+ years proven application development experience in Odoo / Python;
- Reading, writing and verbal communication in English;
- Strong technical experience with all of the following:

Experience in Python development language;
Good knowledge of Windows (and Linux / Ubuntu would be additional advantage);
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL with ability to write SQL queries.
Experience in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XML);
Good knowledge of SVN and/or Git;

Qualifications: Candidates with a Bachelor degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering;
Personality Attributes

Proactive/ positive mindset and eager to learn;
Be able to break down high level requirements to implement user needs;
­Attention to detail, be accountable, and able to work under high pressure;
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skill.
