Senior/Principal PHP Software EngineerfreeC's Client

Design databases, develop features, and support other team members.
Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Collaborate with the Project Leader and Japanese engineers to analyze product specifications, changes to specifications, and new feature additions.
Participate in project development as a Senior/Principal Software Engineer from the Outline Design and Detail Design phases to Development/Implementation, Code Review, Unit Testing, and Release. You may also be trained to become a Principal Software Engineer.

Requirements
Basic Requirements:

Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, jQuery, JSON, Ajax
Experience using the PHPStorm IDE
Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL
4+ years of experience working with PHP in web application development projects (Development, Refactoring, Unit Testing).
Proficient in Git (UI/Command)
Experience with one or more PHP frameworks such as: Laravel, CodeIgniter, Yii 2, CakePHP, Zend

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.
Ability to read, understand, and analyze business requirements from clients
Ability to create and present clear technical documentation and share knowledge with teammates
Good English reading comprehension
Strong problem- solving and communication skills
Knowledge or experience in writing PHPUnit tests
Solid understanding of and experience with clean code principles
Familiarity with the Japanese company working style and processes is a plus
Experience handling large datasets in databases (Insert/Update/Delete operations)
Experience in code refactoring and code review
Experience with JavaScript frameworks: Vue.js, React.js, Angular.js
