Senior Product Designer (UXPD)

As a Senior Product Designer (UXPD) at Simpson Strong- Tie, you will be responsible for driving the design process from concept to production, ensuring the creation of innovative and high- quality products that meet both user needs and industry standards. You will be a part of a cross- functional team, collaborating with front- end engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to build world- class user experiences.
This role is crucial in contributing to the success of Simpson Strong- Tie as a leader in the construction solutions industry. This is a hands- on creative role, supporting the user experience of a suite of single page web applications. Last but not least, you will also collaborate with the other Product Designers and enable grown for the Team.
Main responsibilities:

Quickly iterate on design solutions with outputs like wireframes, interaction flows, high- fidelity mockups, user stories, screen specs, personas, etc.
Provide training and knowledge sharing.
Use data to drive your design decisions.
Assist in conducting usability studies, UX research, and competitive research.
Rapid prototyping as a means to quickly explore, iterate, and convey design solutions to solve difficult UX challenges.
Deep understanding of design system principles and best practices.
Design wireframes, user flows, interactions, and experiences that are simple, intuitive, and consistent.
Help establish frameworks and style guides as well as promote and encourage their use.
Be an advocate for design thinking and help promote its use throughout the organization.

Yêu cầu công việc

Bachelor&039;s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field preferred.
4+ years of proven experience in product design, with a comprehensive and diverse portfolio.
Design:

Strong knowledge in wireframing, prototyping, user testing, interaction, and visual design.
Good user research and usability testing.
Strong design sense with regard to layout, color theory, composition, and typography.
Software and Technology:
Expert level skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating production ready visual and interactive product design across web and mobile platforms.
Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.

Communication:

Fluency in English is a must.
Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members and customers.
Ability to write in a clear, concise and organized manner for the intended audience.
Excellent speaking skill and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.

Personal qualities: Teamwork, reliable, leadership, integrity, trustworthy, punctuality, creativity, confience, courageous, flexibility, interpersonal skills.
Knowledge: Design Principles, ideation, branding, typography, UI Design, UX Design and Prototyping, design Tools, stylings, prior knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
Others:

Able to train and grow competencies for self and others.
Able to perform Research and Development (R&D), and keep updates with trends.
Able to propose, define, and optimize processes.
Able to manage other team member(s) is a plus.
