Senior Quality Engineer

Report to: Senior Manager, APAC Quality and Compliance
Responsibilities:
Supplier assessment
Coordinate supplier material measurement and validation, leading the quality communication between Velcro and suppliers
Perform supplier assessment against annual assessment plan and company strategic business plan
Identify gap analysis and follow up the improvement action and effectiveness validation
Communicate Velcro requirements to suppliers, including product associated, process control and compliance
Processes monitoring in both internal production and supplier
Process audits to ensure process control plan is communicated, implement and updated
Build solid process control including process check, product identification, non conforming material control
Identify variances in the production process and drive improvement plan and corresponding validation
Problem solving and Supplier performance
Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues in a timely manner.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non- conformances
Supplier quality performance tracking, supplier quality ration, reply time
Report out the progress and performance at regular basis or required as needed
Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to help them meet quality requirements
Monitor incoming check and lead problem solving if any
Others
Support customer audits at suppliers
Work with global supplier quality and reginal quality
Other tasks given by supervisor or the company.
Supplier quality training and drive supplier quality system improvement
Collaborate with local operations and procurement team

Solid knowledge of ISO 9001:2015. Prefer Automotive industry background and familiar with IATF 16949.
Engineering background is preferred.
Knowledge of Core tools, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and Minitab.
Be proactive and accountable for responsibilities.
Problem solving skills, 8D and analytical thinking;
Strong communication in English and Chinese at various levels internal and external
Proven experience in supplier quality management with 5 years at minimum
