Ninety Eight is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer (QE) with sharp testing skills, a proactive mindset, and leadership potential to help ensure the quality of our Web3 products.
In this role, you will primarily focus on manual testing, especially exploratory testing for web, mobile, and APIs- in the initial stage. You’ll also have opportunities to grow into test automation through our internal training and mentoring programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform manual and exploratory testing to ensure a smooth and bug- free user experience.
Design and execute test strategies, test cases, and test reports for Web3 products including web apps, mobile apps, and APIs.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
Gradually contribute to automation testing efforts with support from the engineering team.
Guide and support junior team members in planning, prioritizing, and executing test activities (if applicable).
Identify quality risks, report issues clearly, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering/Testing, preferably in Web3 or blockchain- related projects.
Excellent exploratory testing and manual QA skills, with an eye for detail and usability.
Share and guide junior members in planning, prioritizing, and executing test activities.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and Agile development.
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and stay updated on the latest trends in Web3/blockchain technologies.
Experience testing a variety of web, mobile applications and REST APIs
Effective communication and collaboration across teams. Comfortable working in a fast- paced, dynamic environment.
Nice to have:
Experience with automation and performance testing tools (JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, Appium…) and security testing principles and methodologies.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, testing certifications, or related fields.
Understanding of blockchain technologies and decentralized applications. Using testing tools and frameworks relevant to Web3 testing.
